I completed several paintings this fall, including a view of the century-old California Tower in Balboa Park. I was walking across the Laurel Street Bridge in the early morning just as the sun came out from behind clouds and sent the dramatic shadows of the eucalyptus trees sweeping across the road ahead of me. I feel like it is one of my best works to date and a sign that I am still growing as a painter.  "California Tower, 2015" |
