Maine Farmhouse

Last October I was lucky enough to spend a week at a restored farmhouse in Wells, Maine. An old high school friend commissioned me to make some paintings of the property. In these watercolors I am trying to channel the rustic New England styles of Hopper and Wyeth.

Dirk,

You may remember me. I am your dad's first cousin. Maybe you remember coming to my house in El Paso a couple of times and
going to Marfa on July 4th to Hoss and my Aunt Nodes.

I would love hearing from you and knowing about your Mom and siblings.

Your work is beautiful and I was excited to find it. I do have a copy of your first book, signed by you and sent to me by Hoss in the 70s'.

Lots have happened in all the ensuing years since then.

I still talk with your Uncle David frequently.
I would love hearing from you.

Madie

    Watercolor

Watercolor is my first love as far as painting is concerned. I've been working in this medium off and on for more than thirty years now.
