I decided to try a couple of square compositions for a change. They are both oil on stretched canvas and I am happy with the way they turned out. I will definitely do more like these in the future.

These paintings were completed in the studio with the aid of photographs taken in the field. My favorite subjects are California beaches, Southwestern landscapes, and dramatic cloud patterns. People, dogs, horses, birds and cows will also sometimes appear.
